Dennis Trillo learns his lessons; prefers non-showbiz girl for a girlfriend

Jennelyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo - lovers no more

Even though Dennis Trillo just came out from a very public break-up, he insists that he is fine especially when it comes to his career.

In an interview with Pep, the actor said that a break-up is normal in any relationship and if something like that happens, he will not dwell on it. Moving on is essential and life continues.

The status of Trillo's lovelife is of more interest to the viewers and press than his tv show Dwarfina. Varying claims from people close to Trillo and ex-girlfriend Jennelyn Mercado came out after their break-up was reported last month. However, Trillo remains mum about what triggered the break-up and what happened afterwards.

There were claims that Mercado's camp has a lot of "bombs" about Trillo which they will let loose and explode. When Trillo was told of this, he said that if they have something to say, they would have said it immediately after the break-up was reported and not now that the issue has gone cold.

When the press said that Jennelyn may say her piece in time for her birthday concert, Dennis simply said, "Ayun!" He then reiterated that he was never open to the press about problems that he has encountered in his relationship because he wanted to keep those private since they are personal matters.

He was asked if there is a chance to reconcile, he said that there was at first but at the moment, there is no more chance. When asked what he learned from this recent break-up, he said that it's difficult to have a girlfriend who is in showbiz so he'd rather have a non-showbiz girlfriend the next time.
